"AN ODE TO LIFE AND LOVE" OFFICIAL LYRICS We live, and we let love So live, and just let love For all the lovers For those still with us For those who try Won’t let love die We live through the act of love So love her, and live on For those who fight For that due right To love the one That’s in their life This is an ode To our love and our lives

Break Free 03:36
"BREAK FREE" OFFICIAL LYRICS VERSE I I done seen my share of hurt But it ain’t no thing to me And I done seen people doin’ dirt But that don’t mean I ain’t clean The light’s green— That means go Live wild and free, and do your thing Just stay true To yourself ‘Cause everybody’s got their own song to sing CHORUS Don’t let go of your soul Just stay on track and break the mold You don’t have to be bold Just stay on fire and break free from the cold VERSE II I don’t always do what I’m told But that don’t mean truth won’t unfold And I do not know what’s out there But in time I’ll get my share The light’s green— That means go Live wild and free, and do your thing Just stay true To yourself ‘Cause everybody’s got their own song to sing [Chorus] BRIDGE I feel the light is lime I know this is my time Won’t hurt to give it a try I gotta make this mine [Chorus]
3.
"NOBLE FOOL" OFFICIAL LYRICS VERSE I The more I know The less I understand How you could treat me so Knowing I was your man Twelve months, six weeks I stood by your side But little did I know All you could do was lie I thought you had love for me But somehow now it can’t be found CHORUS And I know that someday When you are frail and gray Those walls you built will fall Though you once had it all And you break hearts Like you own all the cards To you, love’s just a tool You’re just a noble fool VERSE II A means to an end That was me all the while And, due to your ego We could not reconcile Tried and true That once depicted us But just like a corpse Our love returns to dust I thought you had love for me But somehow now it can’t be found [Chorus] BRIDGE Once, I thought our love was so legendary But the thought of falling in love was scary And just to simply try To find the reasons why What was meant for us Could’ve been endless love [Chorus]
4.
"VOID OF WORDS" OFFICIAL LYRICS VERSE I Could not try To defy What you mean in my life Just a sip Of your lips Takes me on a wild trip The birds and bees In the trees Do what many cannot see But the product Of their conduct Is all around us A joyous thing What love can bring CHORUS Approached you with my love I can reach you with just one touch A story sung by the birds A thing so virtuous—void of words VERSE II Can’t get enough Of your touch When you’re gone I miss you much I won’t lie I won’t try Living without you by my side This ain’t lust It’s only trust Having you, girl, is a must And the world May not care Because they lack what we share A joyous thing What love can bring [Chorus] BRIDGE No need to fight ‘cause The time is right and I won’t be fearful ‘cause You are here and Don’t have no fear ‘cause I need you here For all time [Chorus]
5.
"LOVE IS FOUND" OFFICIAL LYRICS VERSE I I came to rejoice and sing About all the joy you bring I did not expect to find Someone that I could call mine But now you’re found Turned my life around CHORUS Love is found Here and now So move to this sound We can touch The clouds And it does not Matter how VERSE II You were a special surprise My sunset is now sunrise Could not predict what this was But I guess that’s what love does And now you’re found Turned my life around [Chorus] BRIDGE Through the highs Through the lows Please don’t go I need you so Tell me yes Don’t say no I’ll hold you close Won’t let go [Chorus]
6.
It's You 03:17
"IT'S YOU" OFFICIAL LYRICS VERSE I It’s always nice To spice my life up right And just to find the one To make my night Don’t wanna start no scuffles— Let’s not fight And if you think I have a crush—I might Not a question of How I feel tonight ‘Cause you’re the only girl Who’s in my sights CHORUS It’s you When I need someone to call It’s you Always there before I fall It’s you With you I feel ten feet tall It’s just you Simply you Always you VERSE II No Casanova Not getting over I’m in a daze So can I just hold her? She caught my eye As I turned my shoulder I’m heating up Can’t ever get colder Not a question of How I feel tonight ‘Cause you’re the only girl Who’s in my sights [Chorus] BRIDGE It’s you Why can’t I ever get enough It’s you You got me and now I’m all caught up It’s you Your love can never leave me alone ‘Cause it’s you It’s you [Chorus] OUTRO Not a question of How I feel tonight ‘Cause you’re the only girl Who’s in my sights It's you
7.
Risk It All 03:38
"RISK IT ALL" OFFICIAL LYRICS VERSE I There are times When I am lonely And I need Someone to console me Yet reluctant To give you all Of my heart And soul in abundance I can’t do this On my own Need a hand to hold CHORUS If I risk it all Just catch me if I fall And if I hear your call I’ll answer at all costs Here’s my life to share With charity and care Just meet me halfway there ‘Cause all in love is fair VERSE II If you happen To be trapped In fear and hurt I’ll take away all that And give me your word That you are sure That you’re ready To be my girl ‘Cause I can’t do this On my own Need a hand to hold [Chorus] BRIDGE Love is always mutual And that’s how I know I’m in love with you Do I do [Chorus]
8.
"FEELIN' LUCKY" OFFICIAL LYRICS VERSE I Treaded down That long lonely road Without that Someone to hold Got my act together ‘Cause I knew which way to go Love’s always the answer So, that is what I chose Found a girl—she always Was a friend—never a foe Because love conquers all That hate could show CHORUS I’m feelin’ lucky ‘Cause my girl trusts me (And loves me too) I’m feelin’ lucky The way love’s touched me (I made a move Now life is smooth) VERSE II What is right and what is wrong Ain’t always black or white That’s part of the journey Of this thing we call life It took me some time To finally recognize the light Now I truly see What I have is out of sight Found a girl—she always Was a friend—never a foe Because love conquers all That hate could show [Chorus] BRIDGE I have been down that path Too many times too long And what I have with her Has taught me to be strong I am truly blessed She brought out my best [Chorus] OUTRO Found a girl—she always Was a friend—never a foe Because love conquers all That hate could show
9.
Sincerity 03:10
"SINCERITY" OFFICIAL LYRICS VERSE I My vision ain’t twenty-twenty And I’m not sure who may want me But you got that special something That I can’t name, but I’m needy You’re fine— So kind So please Be mine CHORUS Looking for sincerity Someone just to set me free And if you need clarity I’ll be your one and only VERSE II With you, I can’t stop once started That’s why I’ve never departed You don’t have to ever worry I’m not in no kind of hurry You are fine— So kind So please Be mine [Chorus] BRIDGE I know that you can tell That everything is swell And if you don’t feel well Just call—ring my bell With you in love I fell I came out of my shell I know that our love will prevail [Chorus]
10.
"LIVE, AND LET LOVE" OFFICIAL LYRICS VERSE I Always been the one To make amends ‘Cause I thought that we Were more than friends Gave my heart— It was no accident You did the same Without a bruise or dent But sometimes Love’s fragile So will we last More than a while? CHORUS We learn By living words unspoken We shan’t Be bent nor be broken This gift is Our gratuitous token To live, and let love Be awoken VERSE II In a world where Cruelty reigns away We proved that Love can save the day Will we last until The final hour? Or will something so sweet Just turn sour? ‘Cause sometimes Love’s fragile But can we last More than a while? [Chorus] BRIDGE Does it seem so Redeemable To wonder why? I am weak and so I fall below That natural high I just can’t abide Without you by my side Don’t you know…? [Chorus]

about

"Live, and Let Love" is the third and penultimate full-length studio album by Céran. Recording sessions for the album took place in Céran's home studio and at 64111 Studio, both in Kansas City, Missouri, between December 2013 and July 2014. Commercially self-released on January 27, 2015, the album is primarily a Pop record with R&B elements including additional influences from electronic music, balladry, Soul, Rock, Jazz, Post-disco, among others. Aside from garnering a 4-star rating (out of 5) from Stone Mountain in Greater Atlanta, Georgia-based music critic Charles Sweet of "Review You CD Reviews," the album also went on to receive a 3-star rating (out of 5) and unprecedented acclaim from nationally-renowned entertainment critic, Alex Henderson (Billboard, All Music Guide), of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 2014, with Henderson comparing Céran's vocal phrasing and songwriting to "Classic Period"-era Stevie Wonder. Regarding the songwriting process, lyrical themes on the album include agape, emotional turbulence, heartbreak, inner-confidence, introspection, joy, nostalgia, social consciousness, wistfulness, among others. In regard to the album's commercial performance, streams accrued in all six of the habitable continents of the world for Céran's third full-length effort including in countries such as Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Mainland China, Colombia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Guatemala, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Norway, the Philippines, Poland, Russia, Senegal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tunisia, Turkey, Uganda, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, as well as domestically in the United States. "Live, and Let Love" was preceded by the release of the international lead single, "Break Free." Moreover, the album spawned follow-up single, "Void of Words/Ohne Worte," in addition to four promotional singles, among them, "Noble Fool" (feat. Samara), "Love Is Found," "Feelin' Lucky," as well as the title track, "Live, and Let Love," with "Noble Fool" and "Love Is Found" peaking at Nos. 10 and 3, respectively, on the Clap Charts App. Though a success by critical standards, "Live, and Let Love" remains and stands as Céran's least commercially-successful studio album in his four-album catalog to date.

“In the neo-soul realm, younger artists often mix influences from the present with influences from the past. And that is exactly what Kansas City, Missouri resident Carlton Dubois McClain, a.k.a. Céran, does on his third album, “Live, and Let Love.” Céran brings a variety of direct or indirect influences to this CD, ranging from John Legend, D’Angelo and Seal to Stevie Wonder and the late Donny Hathaway. But it would be a mistake to think of Céran as an R&B purist, and the 22-year-old Midwesterner blends modern R&B with pop-rock and adult contemporary on some parts of the album (especially “Break Free,” “Void of Words” and “Feelin’ Lucky”)."

~Alex Henderson of Philadelphia, PA (Billboard, All Music Guide)

“Overall, “Live, And Let Love” is adventurous and ranges from dramatic to heartfelt to rejoicing to soothing without ever feeling phoned in. Céran is talented, and by and large this album is a testament to a grand dream, realized.”

~Charles Sweet of Stone Mountain in Greater Atlanta, GA (Review You CD Reviews)

“The more things change in music, the more they inevitably stay the same. The fact that artists in their twenties are, in 2014, getting inspiration from Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, and Donny Hathaway bears that out. And Céran’s willingness to draw on both the past and present makes for likable listening on “Live, and Let Love.”

~Alex Henderson of Philadelphia, PA (Billboard, All Music Guide)

"R&Bop," the marriage of R&B and Pop, is not always satisfying. It sometimes more closely resembles just the powdered cheese, without the macaroni, butter, or milk, and frankly, that’s more of what I hear on the radio these days than not. Then, of course, there are the modern groove-masters that fill us all up, one tune after another—which is exactly what happens on "Live, and Let Love," Céran’s most recent album. Neither Céran, nor the album itself, need to justify the R&Bop hues, or even the fact that most of the songs have a similar instrumentation backdrop, because frankly, "Live, and Let Love" just makes the listener feel good. At least this listener. We need more "feel good" in this world; the proof there’s something worth letting ourselves love."

~Alice Neiley of Burlington, VT (Review You CD Reviews)

“His 2014 release “Live, and Let Love” was relevant to neo-soul, blending elements of 1970s soul with urban contemporary R&B of the 1990s and beyond. “Live, and Let Love,” however, was not the work of an R&B purist, and Céran also brought pop-rock and adult alternative influence to the table. Céran, who was 22 at the time and will turn 24 on April 28, 2016, drew on a wide variety of influences that ranged from D’Angelo, Seal and John Legend to Stevie Wonder and Donny Hathaway.”

~Alex Henderson of Philadelphia, PA (Billboard, All Music Guide)
